ICSA SVSH Task Force

Welcome to the landing page for the ICSA's Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Task Force. The Task Force was formed Spring 2022 and consists of many members who have committed their time to improve the culture of consent at the ICSA, comprehend College Sailing's role in university-based discussions about sexual assault, and review its standing policies. Please explore the resources shared above to educate yourself, your team, or your community.

The ICSA SVSH Policy Review analyzes and updates the ICSA’s Plan of Action in the situation of a sailor suffering violence in a sexual assault.

The ICSA SVSH Reading List offers many podcasts, books, articles, and movies that are helpful to conceptualize the effects of sexual assault on survivors and the role that these conversations play in our College Sailing community.

The two team culture discussion modules have been created for the purpose of holding space for conversations about sexual assault and consent on one’s own team. Coaches, sailors, and others are encouraged to use these tools to start conversations in their communities.

Below is the ICSA SVSH Resource Sheet, which compiled information for survivors and those who are supporting them. Wow it is specifically tailored to the College Sailing community and our internal structures, the Task Force hoped these resources are widely helpful.
